Pool filter - spooled filter BERLIN

Condition: New product

A Practical Solution for Your Needs - BERLIN spooled filter With and without Valves

We know how frustrating it is when filtration limits pool clarity, increases maintenance time, and forces frequent backwashing. Private pools with higher water volumes demand stable flow, pressure control, and long term resistance. The Berlin bobbinwound sand filter was built for this exact scenario. It delivers consistent filtration performance, mechanical strength, and service access without complexity.

This model answers the need for a robust side mounted sand filter designed for demanding private pools, where reliability matters more than shortcuts.

Experience the Difference From Stress to Clarity

After a few months of use, filtration becomes predictable. Pressure remains stable. Backwashing cycles feel controlled and efficient. Water clarity holds even under heavy use. You stop reacting to problems and start managing your pool with confidence.

The Berlin filter supports a routine where maintenance feels deliberate, not urgent. You gain time, cleaner water, and trust in your equipment.

Why This Specific Product Stands Out

Berlin sand filters rely on a bobbinwound polyester and fibreglass structure. This construction increases resistance to pressure, vibration, and long term fatigue. The blue satin finish adds surface protection while keeping the filter visually clean in technical rooms.

Side mounted multiport valves allow direct control over filtration, backwash, rinse, recirculate, waste, and closed positions. Larger diameters support higher flows while maintaining filtration quality, not brute force circulation.

Technical Excellence and Build Quality

Materials and Construction

  • Bobbinwound polyester and fibreglass resin body.
  • Inner lining in HDPE for 500 and 600 mm, thermoformed ABS for 750 and 900 mm, polyester and fibreglass for 1050 and 1200 mm.
  • Filter base in reinforced plastic up to 750 mm, polyester and fibreglass for larger diameters.
  • Collectors and diffuser in high resistance PVC and PP.
  • Blue satin finish with protective polyurethane coat on selected diameters.

Performance Specs

  • Maximum filtration speed up to 50 m3 per hour per square meter.
  • Maximum operating pressure 2.5 kg per cm2, optional 4 kg per Cm³ on request.
  • Top manhole diameter 230 mm, expanded to 400 mm on 1050 and 1200 mm models.
  • Sand drain outlet 2 inch on 900, 1050, and 1200 mm models.
  • Compatible with sand and glass filtration media.

Compliance and Safety

  • Complies with EN 16713 1 filtration requirements for private pools.
  • Designed according to long term pressure resistance and safety principles proven over decades.
  • Manual air and water bleed valves included.
  • Integrated pressure gauge for system monitoring.

Getting the Best Results

Install the filter on a stable base, aligned with the pump flow direction. Match the filter diameter to the pool volume and pump output. Use calibrated sand or glass media according to the recommended granulometry.

Perform backwashing when pressure rises above normal operating range. Rinse after each backwash cycle before returning to filtration mode.

  • Do: Check pressure regularly.
  • Do: Use compatible filtration media only.
  • Do: Maintain correct flow rate.
  • Do not: Exceed maximum operating pressure.
  • Do not: Run without proper air purging.

Common Questions

Is this filter suitable for private pools only?
Yes. It is designed for large and demanding private pools requiring stable long term filtration.

Can I use glass media instead of sand?
Yes. The filter supports both sand and glass media.

Does every model include a multiport valve?
No. Smaller diameters include valves, larger models are supplied without valve unless specified.

Is higher pressure resistance available?
Yes. A 4 kg per Cm³ version is available by special order.
