Account Registration Guide (B2C / B2B)
This guide explains how to register on LordsWorld and how VAT is handled for private customers and companies. Please read carefully before contacting support.
Private Customers – B2C
If you are a private individual.
- Create an account using your email and password.
- Enter your personal details.
- Add your shipping address.
- VAT is applied automatically according to your country.
- You can proceed directly to checkout.
No VAT number is required.
Companies – B2B with EU VAT
Important.
There is no separate “company registration” form.
The VAT number must be added inside the address, not during the initial registration step, whether registration is done from the account page or during checkout.
Correct procedure
- Create your account normally.
- Go to My Account → Addresses.
- Add a new address or edit an existing one.
- Enter your EU VAT number in the VAT field, including the country prefix, else without prefix
- Save the address.
What happens next
- The system automatically verifies the VAT number via VIES if the destination country is within the European Union.
- If the VAT number is valid, VAT is removed automatically from prices and checkout.
- If the VAT number is missing, invalid, or not verified, VAT remains applied.
Name fields
- You may enter the company name in the First Name and Last Name fields.
- Recommended: use the name of a contact person.
- This is required for delivery, communication, and order reference.
Common Issues and Clarifications
“I cannot register as a company.”
Registration is the same for everyone. Company status depends on the VAT number entered in the address. Vat number must belong to destination country.
“VAT is still applied.”
The VAT number is missing, incorrect, or not yet validated.
“I entered VAT during registration.”
VAT entered outside the address section is ignored.
“We are Non-EU, we should not pay VAT.”
Correct. VAT is removed only after a valid destination address or with EU VAT is added and verified.
Need Help
If you followed the steps above and VAT is still applied.
- Double-check the VAT number format.
- Make sure the country prefix is included.
- Ensure the VAT is entered in the address, not elsewhere.
